In today’s fast-paced world, feeling peaceful and energized is completely within your reach. If we shift our mindset and daily habits, we can reclaim our energy and inner calm.
Here are seven easy ways to bring more peace and energy into your life.
1. Think 10 Years:
We waste so much energy worrying about things that never happen. In moments of stress, ask yourself, Will this matter in 10 years? Will I even remember it? Most of the time, the answer is no. Keeping this perspective helps you conserve energy for what really matters. Mark Twain had it right when he said, “I’ve had a lot of worries in my life, most of which never happened.”
2. Give:
We feel at peace when we are connected to our humanity. I am grateful to be involved in a generous business that allows me to give both financially and in other ways. The feeling associated with giving is at the heart of my initiative Team Biz Launchers in which we support women entrepreneurs in low-income countries. Our giving group stays connected to the women and to each other so we are regularly reminded we are “givers”.
3. 4-7-8 Breathing:
Need to de-stress fast? Try this breathing technique: inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7, and exhale for 8. This helps calm the nervous system and re-energizes the mind. Practicing this throughout the day helps bring you back to a place of balance and peace.
4. Positive Community:
Who we spend time with matters more than we realize. Being around positive, uplifting people can be energizing and help keep your stress in check. I recently returned from a conference where I was surrounded by people dedicated to building their health and helping others do the same. The energy was heart-warming! Actively seek out people who lift you up and support your best self.
5. Love your Body:
One of the most powerful ways to boost both your energy and your peace is through what you eat. In a world full of processed foods and harmful additives, eating well can make all the difference. This is where Isagenix plays a key role in my own life. Using Isagenix’s nutrient-dense, convenient products gives my body the fuel it needs, while also saving me time. These meal replacements and snacks help me avoid the energy dips and brain fog that come with poor nutrition, to say nothing of the deteriorating body parts! Within this lifestyle, fasting has been a transformative practice for me, giving me control over my hunger and more awareness of what and when I eat. Following a clean, balanced diet rich in whole foods, and incorporating Isagenix, has been a game changer in maintaining consistent energy levels and avoiding unnecessary stress.
6. Be Impeccable with your Time:
Time management is not just about getting things done—it’s about making space for peace. By planning your day around what matters most, you’ll free up mental energy and prevent burnout. While I love cooking, I also like to save time on daily food prep to spend time on matters most to me. Convenience doesn’t have to compromise quality – choose shortcuts wisely and focus on higher priorities.
7. Micro-workouts:
Movement doesn’t have to mean an hour-long workout at the gym. Short bursts of exercise throughout the day can keep you energized and stress-free. Take 15 minutes to dance around your living room, go for a brisk walk, or join my free 15-minute Wednesday dance party on Zoom! Breaking up the day with movement is a fun and simple way to stay grounded and boost your mood.
Bonus Tip: Adaptogens
Adaptogens are natural plant compounds. These plants have evolved to thrive in harsh environments, and their ability to support our body’s resilience is remarkable. Incorporating adaptogens into your routine can be a game changer, helping you manage stress and maintain balance.
By focusing on these simple habits—whether it’s improving your diet, deepening your breathing, or giving back to others—you can create a life that is both peaceful and energized. Start by choosing one or two tips to implement today. When we take control of our energy, we unlock our potential to live a life full of purpose, joy, and fulfillment.
