Mr. Rogers, the children’s television host carried in his wallet a quote from a social worker that said, “frankly, there isn’t anyone you couldn’t learn to love once you’ve heard their story”.
Your online presence is your story. Therefore, what you present needs to reflect the image you want to portray and evoke the emotions that are relevant to your business. When a customer understands who you are, if there is a fit, they will want to build a relationship with you.
The photographer Paul Caponigro said, “It’s one thing to make a picture of what a person looks like, it’s another thing to make a portrait of who they are.”
I am going to take the liberty of amending this quote to say that it’s one thing to just put our content online, it’s another thing to let people get to know you.
