My term as President of CAWEE came to an end at the CAWEE Annual General Meeting on June 16th 2016. My time spent on the Board of Directors has been a great learning experience and I’m in awe of what has been achieved by this small group of very talented women. They should be proud of their accomplishments.
The breakfast networking meetings, after work events and special events including the Golf Tournaments, Holiday parties, International Women’s Day Galas and Tea at the King Eddie have all been well attended and thoroughly enjoyed by members and guests. Board members have also managed membership applications, budgeting and finances, public relations, our monthly online publication, CAWEE Connected and fund raising activities for our charity.
It has been the efforts of the CAWEE Boards that have kept this organization vibrant for so many years and our fast-approaching 40th anniversary is a truly remarkable achievement for an organization led by volunteers!
I’m happy to be staying on the Board for another year as Past President, a position that has been added to the board to support new Board members.
Wishing all of you a safe and happy summer!
